about us

The name Xekeb is a twist of a Mayan word meaning bracelet. As in the names of many places in Mexico, the letter x is either silent or pronounced [sh]. Xekeb is pronounced [Shekeb]. Xekeb started in 2006 in the central Mexican town of San Juan del Rio, Queretaro. We use only .925 Mexican sterling silver, each piece of jewelry is stamped as such on the back.

We started making our handcrafted name bracelets in 2006 as gifts for friends and family in the United States. We immediately began to receive requests for more bracelets and soon started making name rings and pendants. It has been a rewarding experience to witness one's reaction to seeing their name transformed into a piece of wearable art. We have since expanded to other designs such as pendants with children's initials and couple's initials separated by hearts.

We promise that each piece is unique, even two bracelets of the same name will be slightly different. We are very serious about the quality and inspection of each piece and would be proud to present you with a truly one of a kind wearable piece of art.
